2017 Scholarship Galas

National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) affiliated with the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service, NYU invites you to join its National Hispanic Health Professional Student Scholarship Galas

Please join us for a fun-filled holiday night at the The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) 10th Annual Student Scholarship Gala on ThursdayDec. 14, 2017 at 6:30 PM at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. This year’s Mistress of Ceremonies is Gabriella Taissier, Univision News Anchor and Actress/Comedian Dyana Ortelli“Tia Victoria” in Pixar’s Coco, will be our guest speaker.
For the first time-ever, the NHMA will host a Health Job Fair before the Gala. According to a report from the UCSF Healthforce Center, California will be short nearly 5,000 doctors by 2025, potentially leading to major public health safety concerns. More people will turn to costly emergency room visits for routine care. In California, Hispanics make up less the 5% of all doctors, while there are approximately 16 million Latinos in California.
